The Wight List
About The Wight List

Built on the island, for the whole island.

The Wight List started in 2024 when our founders — three islanders who'd just moved back — couldn't find a single job board that took the Isle of Wight seriously. Mainland sites lump us in with Hampshire. Local Facebook groups are scattered. We wanted somewhere with the polish of a national board and the focus of a parish notice-board.

Today we work with 412 island employers, from the NHS Trust to one-person ferry charters. Every listing is reviewed by a real person on the island before it goes live.

Our promise

Every listing verified
Before a job goes live, a real member of our island team checks it for accuracy and compliance.
GDPR-first
Your data stays in the UK, and you stay in control. Export or delete it any time from your Privacy Centre.
No hidden fees
Employers pay a flat per-ad fee. No placement fees, no recruiter commissions.
Island-focused forever
We will never merge with a mainland board or dilute our focus. This is for the island, full stop.
