Cookie Policy
Last updated: 9 June 2026
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as local storage. This policy covers both.
Essential cookies
These are required for the site to function and are set automatically. They cannot be disabled.
- Session cookie (authjs.session-token) — keeps you securely signed in. Expires when you close your browser or after 30 days. Set by The Wight List only, never shared.
Analytics (no cookies)
We use Vercel Analytics to understand how the site is used — which pages are visited, how users find us, and where we can improve. Vercel Analytics is cookie-free: it does not set any cookies or store any persistent identifier on your device. Instead it uses a daily-rotating, anonymised hash that cannot be traced back to you. No personal data leaves our infrastructure. You can opt out via your Privacy Centre.
Marketing cookies (coming soon)
In future we may use cookies to show relevant job listings to people who have visited The Wight List on other platforms. We will always ask for your consent before setting any marketing cookie, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Managing your preferences
You can review and update your choices at any time via your Privacy Centre (/me/privacy) or the cookie banner shown on your first visit. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.
